We are seeking a project officer who will be responsible for coordinating and handling a broad spectrum of project administration process tasks. You will play an instrumental role in supporting the activities in the center by supporting of the Scientific Program Manager of the center and assist in delivering on the vision and mission of the reNEW.

Your key tasks will include the following activities:

  • Administration of grant reporting, including assisting in development of process and policy documentation
  • Development of reports and updates for governance and leadership committees.
  • Maintenance of the reporting database, including building templates and questionnaires, conducting updates of the database, rolling out reporting periods, and data entry into reporting platforms.
  • Management of central repositories and data records relating to collaboration and exchange activities
  • Administration of central budgets and decisions around these budgets, including forecasting and monthly budget updates.
  • Build and maintain a library of advice to support staff in travel and exchange across the global center.
  • Assistance in the coordination of central collaborative project activities, including a focus on the business development training series, and future central projects.
  • Support the Hub in future project management activities which are delivered globally across reNEW
The tasks may be adjusted based on the candidate’s qualification and experience.

We are a unique global collaboration focusing on stem cell research involving three leading research institutions: the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, the Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands, and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Australia. This is governed by a Hub placed in Copenhagen.

Your professional qualifications

  • Qualification in a relevant field and/or relevant experience in a similar role
  • 3 + years’ experience in a similar role.
  • An academic degree
  • Well-developed communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal) and the ability to liaise effectively with a broad variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and independently in order to forward plan and monitor future priorities.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently to plan, coordinate and organise projects.
  • A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and uphold confidentiality with maturity and common sense.
  • Experience from an international working environment preferential
  • Knowledge of an administrative environment in a scientific setting preferred.

Terms of salary and employment

Your employment will be at reNEW The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine, University of Copenhagen. The position is a full-time (37 hours per week) and permanent position and is open for appointment as soon as possible.

Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) if the candidate has background as a MSc, at the level of either Academic Officer (Fuldmægtig) or Special Consultant depending on the right candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated.
